At P3 and P4, Science is still close enough to wonder that a good lesson can genuinely excite a child. But the questions schools are asking have begun to shift from observation to explanation.

This gap between noticing something and articulating why it happens is where students quietly start to struggle. Not because they lack ability, but because scientific reasoning is a skill that needs to be taught, not assumed.

Our programme teaches students to think like scientists by asking better questions, constructing clearer answers, and finding genuine satisfaction in understanding how the world works.

What the Programme Covers

Four carefully sequenced lessons, covering the P3 and P4 Science syllabus with a focus on conceptual understanding and answering technique:

Lesson 1 — Diversity in Living Things and Materials and Life Cycles

Students explore the characteristics that distinguish living from non-living things, the diversity of materials and their properties, and the cycles that govern plant and animal life. The focus is on building conceptual clarity so students can articulate their observations precisely in OEQ responses.

Lesson 2 — Plant and Body Systems

Students examine how plants and the human body function as interconnected systems, developing the ability to explain processes and relationships clearly rather than simply recalling facts.

Lesson 3 — Magnets and Matter

Students investigate the properties of magnets and the characteristics of different states of matter, learning to construct structured answers that address what OEQ questions are actually asking rather than what students assume they are asking.

Lesson 4 — Heat and Light Energy

Students deepen their understanding of how heat and light behave and interact with matter, with particular attention to the application-based questions that require students to explain phenomena they may not have encountered before.

All students receive: Exclusive TTA Smart Study Notes covering key concepts and OEQ answering frameworks.

By the end of the programme, students will:

✔ Understand the key concepts across P3 and P4 Science topics not as isolated facts, but as connected ideas

✔ Know how to construct clear, complete OEQ answers using structured frameworks

✔ Stop losing marks to incomplete reasoning, and understand not just what the answer is, but why it is correct

✔ Approach unfamiliar questions with a thinking process, not guesswork

✔ Close the specific conceptual gaps identified from this year’s school papers
