P3/4 Science March Holiday Programme
$375.00
This March Holiday Programme provides Primary 3 / 4 students with a structured consolidation of key Science themes commonly tested in school assessments. Designed as a focused 5-lesson series, the programme strengthens conceptual understanding, reinforces answering techniques, and builds confidence in applying scientific concepts accurately. Each session blends clear content mastery with exam-oriented practice to prepare students strongly for Term 2.
Lesson 1 – Diversity: Living & Non-Living Things
Students begin by strengthening their understanding of Living and Non-Living Things. The lesson focuses on identifying characteristics of living things, classification skills, and common misconceptions tested in open-ended questions. Students learn how to justify their answers using precise scientific keywords — a crucial skill for scoring structured-response marks.
Lesson 2 – Diversity: Plants, Fungi & Bacteria
This session deepens students’ knowledge of classification and characteristics of plants, fungi, and bacteria. Emphasis is placed on recognising similarities and differences, understanding key features, and applying concepts accurately in comparison-type questions. Students practise structured answering formats that help them express scientific ideas clearly and completely.
Lesson 3 – Diversity: Materials
Students explore the properties of Materials, including hardness, flexibility, waterproof nature, and strength. The lesson trains students to analyse scenarios carefully and select materials based on given properties. Focus is placed on application-based questions and explaining reasoning with correct scientific terminology.
Lesson 4 – Life Cycle
This lesson consolidates understanding of Life Cycles in plants and animals. Students review stages of development, differences between complete and incomplete metamorphosis, and key processes such as germination. Emphasis is placed on sequencing, comparison skills, and answering open-ended questions with clarity and precision.
Lesson 5 – Magnets
The programme concludes with Magnets, focusing on magnetic properties, poles, attraction and repulsion, and real-world applications. Students learn how to interpret experimental setups, draw conclusions from observations, and avoid common conceptual errors. The session reinforces logical reasoning and structured explanation techniques.
